There needs to be a left turn lane added to the intersection of Rt 60 (Warwick Blvd) and Elmhurst St. Traffic backs up there quite frequently as it is a yield on green and only 1 lane in each direction. During the summer tourist season, it's not uncommon for it to be backed up all the way back to the Grove community if not further.

Cerrado Traffic Engineering (Invitado)
This location has been placed on the City’s Intersection Improvement Program listing. However, there is a very limited amount of City owned right-of-way at this location and therefore, the City does not have the property to construct this type of requested improvement? The City is continuing to look for alternate funding sources for this as well as other transportation projects within Newport News.
